I am all about sparking wonder in people, one drawing at a time.

I believe that looking up at the clouds is far better use of time than looking at your phone. I believe that the everyday people in our lives have all of the characteristics and vibrancy and depth worthy of being main characters of a story. And most of all, I believe that despite the suffering and darkness of our world, I shall “look upon the goodness of God in the land of the living.”

I worry about the attention spans and brains of the next generation. I worry about my attention span and how to live continually less and less online. I worry about how little I read books these days, despite my professed love of them. I worry about what technology is doing to all of us.

I am amazed by the way Korean culture has been embraced in the West. I am amazed at the impact one song, one artist can have on an entire generation of people. I am amazed at how you can capture the energy and emotion of something like a dancer in motion in one 2D drawing simply through shape and line. I am amazed at all of the things that I learn everyday- new ways of living in this world, new realizations about myself and life, new life and growth and beauty that is all around us.
