Animal Adventures Week 2026

“Animal Adventures Week” is an art challenge hosted on Instagram annually every August by a group of wonderful illustrators. The challenge is to draw animals in some kind of scene everyday for a week based on a new prompt each day.

When I heard about the challenge, I sat down to sketch some ideas and a world inspired by Korean art and folklore, The Legend of Zelda, and Ghibli movies unfurled in my imagination. I love these pieces and hope that they transport you to a fantastical, magical world of hanboks, dragons, and stars.
